Grace Munoz is a coroner who appears in "El Muerto".
Grace works at a low-budget morgue, and previously had a husband and daughter. On one fateful night, Grace and her daughter Laura had an argument over seeing Laura's father, so Laura wished death upon her mother and ran outside, only to be hit by a car as Grace watched helplessly. Every year since, Laura's ghost would return to Grace's morgue to torment her, but she refused to believe in ghosts and constantly rebuffed Jorge's attempts to comfort her with his belief in the afterlife.
On one occasion, Grace is given the corpse of a young boy to prepare, who apparently suffocated to death in an air-tight delivery truck that he had crawled into. After preparing the body, she comforts the father and then sees him out. She then returns to her office, once again plagued by her daughter's ghost, and speaks to the air that she knows Laura's here to scare her and tell her that she hates her. However, when she notices a rhythmic pattern to the flickering of the light overhead, she realizes it's a code for "I L-U-V U", the code she and her daughter used to tell each other that they loved each other. Suddenly realizing that her daughter really is near, she apologizes for all that she said the night of her death, and begs her daughter not to hate her, telling her that she loves her forever.
